The State of Michigan just approved a bipartisan project which allocates $666million dollars for #EV development with General Motors. This plan will create between 3200 to 4000 new jobs.
Gretchen Whitmer, House and Senate lawmakers in Michigan are enabling a path for vehicle electrification. It also means many #automotive suppliers, #OEMsupplier, #Tiers 1, 2, 3 must be ready to support the big #OEMs.
So far, General Motors has announced plans to spend $4 billion at its Orion Township facility to transition it for electric pickup production. In addition, GM and LG Energy Solution, through their joint venture Ultium Cells LLC, plan to spend $2.5 billion to build a battery plant in the Lansing region.
